Members-Only Yoga with @yogaholicsunited (DE/EN)

Wednesday, 20 June, 9:00 — 10:00

Please note - Wednesday yoga has moved to 9am!

Through her studio, Yogaholics United, founder Karin Circelli offers an oasis where you can "leave your comfort zone and discover your true potential." You can expect that same guiding principle every Wednesday morning when Karin brings her positive and nurturing spirit to Birdhaus.

Expect a traditional and effective Tantra Hatha Yoga class, following the process of Vinyasa Krama to leave you ready (but not sweaty!) to take on your day. Slow down to reach your full potential.

Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop with @anna_und_juan (DE/EN)

Monday, 25 June, 18:00 — 21:00

“Anna & Juan” is a collective based in Zurich formed by the designers Josefina Eliggi (AR) and Luzius Schnellmann (CH) dedicated to developing sustainable textiles based on the use of plant dyes.

Macramé is an ancient textile technique that consists in knotting cords together in order to create flat surfaces like belts, rugs and wallhangings, or three-dimensional objects such as bags and hammocks. Although it became very popular in the 70s, it has a much longer tradition and has been known for centuries in many different places all around the world. Nowadays it enjoys a revival along with other textile-related crafts. During this exclusive 3-hour class at Birdhaus we will show you the basic macramé knots and how to make a simple plant hanger with cotton rope, ideal to give a bohemian – yet modern – touch to your place. Sip prosecco, have a bite, and learn this craft. Attendees will bring home their own beautiful plant hanger.

Book Club (EN)

Wednesday, 27 June, 18:00 — 20:00

Please join us as we launch our Birdhaus Book Club. Every other week, we will gather to talk through the latest book club selection, enjoy an open conversation, and remind ourselves of the beauty of the written word.

Our selection for June/July is Ann Patchett’s Commonwealth. In a series of vignettes that spans 50 years, it tells the story of six children whose lives were disrupted by one illicit kiss. Ann Patchett’s novels go far beyond what is on the page, as we will learn in these rousing and fun bi-weekly conversations.
