Monday, 29 October, 19:00 — 21:00

The Executive School of the University of St. Gallen developed the management training program "Women Back to Business" in German together with renowned Swiss companies. Two years ago this successful concept was adapted into an English program with the same benefits to boost your continued professional career. Our aim is to help women succeed professionally, in particular women who desire to return to the workforce, to reposition themselves on the job market, or to take on more sophisticated tasks with a higher workload.

Attend this informal information event (in German) and get to know this important program.

Birdhaus Book Club (EN)

Wednesday, 31 October, 18:30 — 20:30

The Book Club is back! We have changed up the format a bit, and we are so excited to introduce to you our new book, and our new moderator!

Tess is an American expat who left her life behind in NYC to start a new one in Switzerland. She has a passion for all things literary and her current Goodreads goal is 100 books, which is why she's so excited to take over the book club and start talking about books! When she's not writing for her blog, reading, or traveling, she runs a bi-weekly bookish newsletter with her friend Jess called Bookmess. Bookmess is a virtual book club, where you can read a book along with Jess and Tess every month, and receive fun, book-themed newsletters in between. Subscribe here:

This month’s book is Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel (link). This book is apocalyptic, so it's got a scary element for the month of October, but it's gorgeously written. You can buy it on for quick delivery, or Orell Fuessli. Read the book by the 31st. We will discuss it on Halloween night! Who knows, we might even bring some costumes and ghoulish treats into the mix!

Book Club is free for members and non-members. Please reserve your space HERE!
